Boy Culture is a confession from X (Derek Magyar), a young call boy very popular. After 10 years of having sex for money, X discovers something new thanks to Gregory (Patrick Bauchau) a mature client a bit lonely. “Heroes imaginarios” puts under exam a long year in a supposed tipical high-midle class family. It relates with humour and tenderness the story of a contemporary family in crise. A tragedy occurs in the Travis family and all its members collapse. The adolescent boy, Tim (Emile Hirsch), the family’s black ewe, passes through life as if it was a nightmare. His father Ben (Jeff Daniels) starts to treat his wife and son as if they were strangers and disconnects from his entourage while his wife smokes joints all day and uses all the sarcasm she can. At the same time she declares war to her neighbour because of some well kept secrets that threaten to destroy the family.

“Heroes imaginarios” deal with patetism and mordacious humour what it is to be part of a family: the good things, the bads and everything there is between both ends.
